Hi. I’m Meg. If you’re reading this, you might be wondering “who the heck is this chick?” Welp, you’ve come to the right place.
I’m you’re typical mid-thirty something with a husband, career, friends and family. I’m also carrying around a lot of extra weight and I don’t mean metaphorically.
I busted into this world weighing in at 9 lbs. and have not stopped gaining. At 5, I attended my first Weight Watchers meeting and I’ve been dieting ever since. At 8, a sugar cereal meant Honey Nut Cheerios with skim milk. At 14, I dipped my toes into the Atkins diet. At 22, I ate (read: drank) nothing but protein shakes for six months. You name the diet, I’ve tried it. (Cabbage soup was my least favorite. Whole 30 was my favorite.)
This blog is going to document a pretty huge transition in my life. On November 3, 2018, I’ll be having gastric sleeve surgery. I thought that it might be nice to have a place to document how I’m feeling, both physically and mentally. So here we are. It’s nice to meet you.
